Matthew McConaughey's new Surf Clothing line - 09-03-2008
Actor Matthew McConaughey, known for his love of the beach is going to launch his own surf clothing line. The 38 yr old soon to be dad is designing his own line of swim apparel named "j.k. livin," short for "just keep livin,'? so named after his film production company and his personal mantra.
McConaughey's collection, which includes T-shirts, swimsuits, and even Frisbees. The gear and clothes will start being sold this summer via the star?s official website. ?It will be a one-stop shop for every-thing you need for the beach,? said a representative for the actor to Us magazine.

Avril Lavigne's new Clothing Line - 05-03-2008
The 23-year-old pop star Avril Lavigne creat her own clothing collection called Abbey Dawn, the line is focused towards teenagers, and mirrors the pop rocker's own fashion style, combining a mixture of 'authentic rock with a feminine edge'. Dubbed Abbey Dawn is Lavigne's childhood nickname. Department store chain Kohl's is partnered with Avril Lavigne in this juniors' apparel and accessories brand. The new collection of apparel and accessories, will launch in Kohl's stores nationwide and online in July. Apparel prices will range from $24 to $48. Fashions will change every 60 days.
"I'm thrilled to announce my clothing line Abbey Dawn. Abbey Dawn will aspire to be a unique and accessible reflection of my ever-changing style," the 23-year-old said in a press statement. Lavigne says she will be designing the products herself and wearing them on her tour.

Luke Wilson designs Golf Clothing line - 03-03-2008
We all know a lot of celebrities are being involved in fashion just like this Actor Luke Wilson he has designed a collection of golfing clothes. Luke, who recently was named in the top 40 Hollywood golfers by magazine Golf Digest, has teamed up with Swedish golfer Johan Edfors they designed a collection of golfing clothes for Puma. The limited edition designs include polo shirts, shoes and porkpie hats. Expect to see ads online in May.
Luke and Johan announced the partnership at Puma's design studio in New York. Both of them, according to pumatalk.com, "provided creative input to the line, including highlights such as chrome details, higher-end Merino wool materials and personal color combinations and selections."
Wilson said: "To work with a brand like Puma that has such innovative and versatile products on a golf line that fits my style and personality has been a real pleasure.
"We had some real fun with some of the product designs including the porkpie hat and C-hopper shoe that you can wear on or off the course by just removing the spikes."
Wilson also revealed that his apparel would be less garish than traditional golf fashions.

Inspired a whole fashion line made by designer Karl Lagerfeld, which was debuted at the London Fashion Week earlier this month. Its indeed that despite her troubles, Amy is being positioned as a modern day icon. People are copying her look and her music and the fashionistas want to make sure they?re keeping on top of the trend.? The singer is also rumoured to be considering launching her own clothing and cosmetics line, giving people the chance to emulate he own unique sense of style. Meanwhile, good news arrived for the rebounding crooner earlier in the day, as ?police are no longer investigating her on suspicion of attempting to interfere with a court case involving her husband.? As a result, the 24-year-old is ?no longer required to return to a police station for further questioning,? her spokesman, Chris Goodman, told press in a statement.

The term "Emo" is used as counterculture; it is an abbreviation of the word "emotional". Emo it's defining not only an attitude, but also a fashion. Emo fashion have a big association when it comes to music which was very popular in Washington DC in the late 80's. The emo culture continued to develop between '90 and '00, reaching the height of its popularity today. The influence of emo culture has spread to the fashion world and emo fashion is making its influence felt on the runways of today. The usual emo looks? Skinny jeans, tight shirts: vintage clothing (a popular staple of emo fashion), studded belts and wearing Chuck Tyler Converse All-Stars shoes, hair with the bangs cut straight across. Jewelry, including facial and other body piercings, is quite common and is kept as natural as is possible. Emo fashion also can be described as being a bit nerdy, reflected in the huge popularity of thick, black-rimmed glasses and often carry backpacks or messenger bags littered with pins from assorted emo bands or bearing anti-establishment, pro-underground slogans.
Emo dress tends to follow lines of nonconformity almost without exception, but individual styles may vary as long as they continue to emphasize secondhand goods or a general expression of indifference toward current fashion trends. Emo fashion has a big advantage in that it doesn?t require a lot of maintenance to achieve that dreamy emo look and is not overly expensive to buy.

Andre 3000 has revealed details of his Benjamin Bixby clothing line. OutKast's André Benjamin AKA André 3000 has made his fashion-world debut. It's a clothing line called Benjamin Bixby, due to begin appearing in New York City in the fall. It reflects Benjamin's love of old-fashioned dandies, 70s sports uniforms and hip-hop flair.
The rapper toured Italian factories and Parisian textile fairs, while taking style advice from Vogue editor and noted fashionista Anna Wintour and sketched the Benjamin Bixby clothes himself. Mr. Benjamin arguably knows more about cutting-edge style than most. The star?s range comprises 70 items of clothing inspired by the US prep style and by college football from the 1930s.

Shakira Auctioned her Clothes for Charity - 12-02-2008
Multi Awarded pop singer Shakira has auctioned 40 of her outfit on eBay to benefit a foundation named ?Bare Feet?. Shakira fan forked over US$3,000 to buy a bra once worn by the Colombian singer, while another paid US$14,000 for front-row seats and the privilege of meeting the star. The two bids were among the highest on 40 items that she wore from her 2007 Oral Fixation tour. Another popular item was a shiny lavender skirt with turquoise and coral beading that Shakira wore while singing "Hips Don't Lie," during her "Oral Fixation" tour. The skirt fetched more than US$1,000.
All profits will go to Shakira's Bare Feet Foundation that will collect funds to build free schools in Columbia, Shaikra?s home town. The auction went on from the first of February and ends on 10th February.

Known as the worst-dressed celebrity, Victoria appeared on the American fashion TV show, Project Runway, as a guest judge. After announcing she is leaving the music industry at the end of February. The 33-year-old face of Marc Jacobs was a guest judge at hit TV show Project Runway's New York fashion show.Beckham sat front-row alongside her fellow judges, gorgeous host Heidi Klum, fashion designer Michael Kors and top fashion journalist Nina Garcia, Victoria looked stunning as she arrived at the catwalk show wearing a daring orange draped dress with matching shoes.
Beckham said after the show, "That one person really made me smile," but refused to give anything away saying that she loved what the designers had presented. "Everything I saw, I would wear myself," she added. "I thought it was amazing, I mean, I'm so priviledged to be her, I thought it was very, very strong. There's so much talent, so much hard work has gone in to what we've just seen."
The fourth-season finale of Project Runway will be aired as a two-part special shown in the US on February 27th, with the winner being announced on March 5th.

Nicole Kidman's new Clothing Line - 06-02-2008
Actress Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban are to become the latest celebrities to launch their own clothing line. The collection will be called 'Hank Evie', used to call each other when they first started dating.
Urban has sold Hank Evie t-shirts on his website the only item being sold until recently, however, people were unaware that it was owned by Urban and was based on the couple?s pseudonyms. And has now trademarked the brand in both Australia and the US. They plan to expand their collection to include clothing, belt buckles, shoes, bags, boxer shorts and pajamas.
The couple, who are expecting their first child in July, join the likes of celebrities such as Elle Macpherson, Kylie Minogue, Ian Thorpe, Gwen Stefani and Beyonce, in releasing their fashion labels.

Fashion Against AIDS Campaign - 03-02-2008
A group of famous musicians and designers have created a range organic cotton T-shirts and jackets for H&M to raise awareness of Aids among young adults. A non-profit organization that raises awareness of the disease through collaboration with celebrity artists.
Swedish-based company has commissioned artists such as Rihanna, Scissor Sisters and My Chemical Romance, Jade Jagger, Timbaland, Ziggy Marley and Rufus Wainwright to who have all come together to help the foundation. The idea is to increase young people's awareness of HIV/AIDS with affordable ware: T-shirts, tank tops and hooded sweaters that retail from about $15 to $40. Twenty-five per cent of the line's proceeds will go toward HIV/AIDS-prevention programs around the world.
Fashion retailer H&M and Designers Against AIDS (DAA) recently launched "Fashion Against AIDS" which hits H&M stores in February 2008. All garments are made from 100 per cent certified organic cotton and carry a special hang tag that reads: "This might be the most important piece of clothing you?ve ever had your hands on.

WWE Diva Torrie Wilson's Clothing Store - 22-01-2008
WWE Diva Torrie Wison and her boyfriend (former Spirit Squad member Nick Mitchell) opening a clothing store in The Woodlands, Texas. "I have always been a big clothes horse," Wilson said. "I made my own costumes and clothes. I moved to Houston a year ago and I realized there was nowhere to shop in The Woodlands for the kind of clothes I wanted to buy."
Wilson said clothes are a way for people to express their personality. "If you feel good about what you have on, you feel good about yourself," Wilson said. "For a lot of people it is really a form of self expression."
The store is named Jaded and features men's and women's designer clothing from designers such as Bejeweled, Sky, True Religion, LA Rock, BB Simon, Tarrina Tarrantino, Ed Hardy, Sinful, Dragonfly and Edward Dada.
"We have fun hats," Wilson said. "We try to carry things that are original. A lot of stuff is attention-grabbing, nice, quality clothing that can fit any age group to the hipster that likes to hang out with their friends at night, to the mother who has to go pick up their kids from school."
